The Jarvis Lykes Youth Sports Equipment and Social Justice Foundation was established in memory of Jarvis Lykes, who was tragically murdered by a Georgia State patrol officer on December 29, 2017. We honor Lykes' legacy by providing sports equipment to underserved communities and supporting initiatives that address issues of inequality and injustice. Our goal is to positively impact the athletic and social development of young people.
Mission Statement:
"At Jarvis Lykes Youth Sports Equipment and Social Justice Foundation, our mission is to empower young athletes from underserved communities by providing access to high-quality sports equipment and fostering an environment of social justice education and advocacy. We believe that every child, regardless of their background, deserves the opportunity to participate in sports and develop valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience. Through our initiatives, we strive to level the playing field, promote inclusivity, and inspire positive social change in our communities. Together, we aim to cultivate a generation of athletes who not only excel on the field but also champion equity and justice off the field."
